Another Win

A couple days ago while online at facebook, Best Western posted a trivia quesiton. They asked, Where is the only place in the U.S. where you can find on average two diamonds per day?

So I googled it, found the right answer and posted it all within the first two minutes of them posting the question. Well, the first person to answer the question correctly would win a $25 giftcard to Staples. Guess what, I won! I was the first person to answer correctly. Now I will have to think on what I might need at Staples and figure out exactly where one is.

Bunco Night

The last two months I have been lucky enough to be invited to a local bunco group here. It is a nice mix of ladies ranging in age from 30's to 60's. Last night was a special bunco where we all brought presents to exchange in a white elephant type style.

It also happened to be quite a lucky night for me. I had three bunco's tying with the director of KK's preschool. So we had a roll off and I won. She ended up getting money to as this group gives prize money to the highest number of buncos and the second highest number of buncos. I won $40.00! Woohoo. I have decided to put it in our vacation fund. With this $40, the $27 I made last weekend with recycling, and the $75 I just made selling my exercise bike, we will already have $142.00 towards our next trip! I have more stuff to try and sell on craigslist so I may be earning more sometime soon. I will also have two free hotel nights if I decided to use them on our next trip. So next spring we should have had enough time to save up for a good vacation. I am sure you all know where we will be going! This time we hope to make it a week long trip and see some family. Hubby really wants to see some dinosaur museum down there as well.

Disney on Ice

While driving home from our weekend trip to San Francisco, I was listening to KUIC 95.3 FM. They were having a call in contest where caller number 5 would win a four pack of tickets to Disney on Ice. Lucky me, I was caller number five and we will be going to the show this Thursday as long as we receive the tickets in the mail on time. I was offered to go to the station to pick up the tickets but considering the station is an hour and a half drive from our house I decided to have them mail me the tickets. Besides they said they would drop the tickets in the mail tomorrow which means I should actually get them on Tuesday. I am not going to tell the girls about the tickets until they are in my hands. That way if something happens they won't know.

Hubby's company picnic

We had quite a busy day today. Not only did we have Aly's first soccer game but immediately following we had hubby's company picnic. It ended up being quite a drive too. We were expecting it to be about an hour from our house and it ended up being an hour and forty five minutes away. The picnic was at a horse ranch and it was around 105 degrees! We were all very sweaty.

The good news is I won a game of bingo scoring me a $50 gift card to costco! Yeah!!! Since we are having such a problem with working DVD players in the house we agreed to use the gift card towards the purchase of a DVD player.

One of the first activities the girls enjoyed doing was the bounce house! There weren't that many kids at the picnic so for this period of time they had the house to their selves.

After some fun in the bounce house they got their arms painted. They both choose to have a rainbow painted on them!

One of our final activities we enjoyed as a family was tricycle racing. The tricycles were made for adults. So we each took a child with us. Hubby one every time. When Aly decided to race Daddy on foot she one!

The Best Bunco EVER!!!!!!

Last night was the monthly GCM Bunco night. I try and go every month and usually make it. It seems like sometimes I have runs of luck where every time I go I will at least win my money back and other times I don't win for a few times. Well, last night was so awesome! GCM decided to give some money back to some of their members and brought gift cards to be raffled off. There were enough gift cards for each of the 12 women there to win one. They ranged from $5 Starbucks or Jamba juice gift cards, to $15 manicure or scrapit gift cards, to $25 Kohls, Regal Theatres, or Safeway gift cards. Well lucky me, I wasn't the second ticket drawn so I picked the Kohl's gift card. WOOHOO. Kohl's is my favorite store and I can't wait to go and buy myself something!!!!!

Not only did I win the gift card but I actually won most Buncos! This never happens to me. I swear in the past year I have probably only rolled a bunco once! Well, last night I rolled three buncos. I was thrilled! I won $45 dollars for having most buncos which is the biggest prize to win. I am so happy! What a great time!

Last night was a Mom's Night Out for GCM's. We decided to go to Annabelle's Chocolate Lounge as they have regularly scheduled bands that play there on friday nights. This particular friday was a band called The Golden Caddillacs. They were a good, young band. They wrote some of their own music which was a nice, refreshing change. For some reason only half of the band had shown up in the beginning so they played with the lead singer/guitarist and the keyboard player for about an hour hour or so. Once the drum player and bass guitar player showed up the real fun began. Although now, we could no longer have any kind of conversation as it was very loud. There was quite a crowd of people there too ranging in ages from early 20's to late 60's. The dance floor was crowded and quite happy!

We had arrived at Annabelles just after 6:30 and ordered wine and chocolate. GCM's was giving a raffle for the women that showed up to the event. Six women came and there were four giftcards making my odds to win quite good. So I was lucky enough to win a giftcard for $25 to use at Regal movie theatres. What is funny is that I already have four free tickets to the movies from Safeway's movie promotion so I will have a summer packed with free movies!

My latest win!

Yesterday at the mom's mixer they had a raffle going on. There were probably more than 20 baskets to raffle. I went through very carefully and picked the four baskets that I would really want to win. One was a palm pilot, another was a haircut at a nice salon, the third basket I put in was a 3 month membership to a gym, and the fourth basket I put in was for a fairy tea party for my girls.

Luck would be in my favor and I won the fairy tea party for my girls. Click on the picture and you can see what all they will get. It is a tea party for 4 valued at $200.00. The girls should have a lot of fun. Aly was really excited about it. I called her two best friends right away so I could coordinate dates with them so they could be our guests at the tea party. All of the girls are really excited and they should have a great time. I can't wait to take lots of pictures!

Look what we won!

Last night was the Family Pizza Night Fundraiser Raffle at Aly's preschool. Last year we bought 20 tickets to the event and went and had pizza. We didn't win anything and the place was so crowded it was hard for our personality type to stay. So this year I decided to buy thirty dollars worth of raffle tickets--what I would of spent on the pizza--and we skipped going to the event.

After the event was over my friend Cathy called me to give me the wonderful news. I won:

A $25 gift card to Safeway. This just seems so fitting for me since I have been so obsessed with bargain/coupon shopping lately and all of my great deals on groceries have been through Safeway.

We also won a $25 gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond. Don't quite have anything in mind to purchase there but I am sure I will find something eventually. Woo hoo, luck was on our side last night!

Look what I won from fitnessformommies

Wow, I was so shocked when I actually won something from the internet. I entered a Larabar contest through fitnessformommies and was so happy to find out that I won. The funny thing is that I thought I had just won one box with like six bars in it.

I was so surprised when I found out I had actually won a case with 9 different boxes in nine different flavors containing sixteen bars per box. I checked it out and this retails for $169.00. What a win! Hubby and I have been eating them and really like them. The added bonus is they are made with all natural ingredients and no added sugar.

Now only if I could win the lottery. Did you know the lottery is currently at 80 million?
