Kayla's bangs

Kayla wanted me to cut her bangs like Summer's.  As she put it bangs that go all the way across.  I can't believe how different she looks with them.  It definitely highlights her big beautiful eyes!

3rd bag

Alyssa finished her third bag for her teacher.  She gave me a lot of grief over doing it and kept putting it off.  I received quite the sassyness over it! Her teacher is very happy with the quality and told Alyssa she is firm on paying her $100 even though Alyssa told her we thought $75 was fair.  Alyssa is considering saving up for an ipad now.

She still has two more bags to make and plans on making one each weekend.  Let's hope her attitude is a little better now that she knows she is getting big bucks!

Valentine's Day tradition

The girls were so excited to make chocolate covered strawberries.  I have to laugh though, they don't eat them.  They all tried one but that was it.  I only ate from Alyssa's pan, as you can see Summer and Kayla have too much fun licking their fingers during the process.

Fancy for the party

Kayla wanted to dress fancy for the party at school.  She said she wore the T-shirt underneath because she thought the dress was too low.  I love it that she is conscientious and considers those things.  The dress looked beautiful on her.  She had me do a nice french braid on her hair.  She has such a beautiful smile and I love her happy, smiling eyes!!!

Alyssa's pretty hair

Alyssa has been having a rough year in school this year.  I thought it might be fun to curl her hair for her and help her to feel pretty!  She has such beautiful hair and what amazing features!!!

Science homework

Alyssa has had a substitute teacher for Science class all week.  She didn't understand the homework at all.  Thankfully Daddy did an awesome job explaining matter and density.  I was quite impressed with how he just kept trying new ways to help her understand.

Bags

Alyssa has completed 2 of the bags out of the 5 she committed to making.  It has been a good life lesson for her.  She hasn't been very motivated to make them.  She claims she was afraid to say no.  I said in the future she will have to decide what is harder...saying no or doing something you don't want to do.  However, I am teaching her in life, if you make a commitment you see it through to the end.

Stripes

Kitty is still hanging around.  She is starting to make friends with one of our outdoor cats Lady.  Our other cat Lily tolerates her but doesn't seam to care if she is around, as long as she is not eating her food.

Summer treats the cat like it is her baby sister.  This is a pretty nice cat considering how kind it is to let Summer continually handle her.  The girls are currently calling her Stripes.

I brought her to the vet and she does not have a microchip.  BUMMER!  We have had her picture plastered all over facebook and have not found her family.

Lego guns

LOL..we all laughed at Summer's lego gun.  Clearly she has no experience with toy guns.

Salsa for Daddy

Putting this recipe to paper in case Ed ever needs it.  He is loving my home made salsa!

12-14 roma tomatoes
2 heads of garlic
1 white onion
1 bunch of cilantro
2 limes juiced
4 jalapenos seeded
salt to taste

Long curly hair

I put my hair in a braid last night and this happened...LOL

Kayla's basketball game

Since I can't be at two games at the same time, I had to miss Kayla's.  She insisted Daddy go.  She is currently a Daddy's girl.  Since I didn't go no pictures or video's were taken.  They had their 3rd win of the season for a total of 3 wins and 2 losses so far.

Great defense Alyssa, game 5

Found a kitty

When Daddy got home from work, he heard a kitten crying in a tree.  We coaxed her down.  She was leery of us at first.  We fed her near the tree and within an hour we were able to bring her in to the house for the night.  We knew it was what was best for her.  We figured the next morning at first day light we could let her back outside and she could try and find her home.

At 5:30 the next night she was crying on our porch.  We brought her back in for the night.  Not sure how this story will continue or if she will eventually find her way home. We did post pics of her all over facebook trying to find her owners.  So far, no luck.  If she is still with us on Monday we will take her to the vet and see if she has a microchip.

Memories

For the memories

Guess this will have to do for the memories.
