S'mores every weekend

Lately we have been making S'mores every weekend.  I love that we live in a place that we have the opportunity to do this in our own yard.  What great memories for the children growing up.

Alyssa and Kayla had their friends Sophia and Sandy spend the night.  Sandy ended up spending the whole weekend.  Sophia had a wedding to go to so she had to leave on Saturday.

Wednesday night fun

We decided to take the kids to the school for a little play time.  It was so fun to see some of the kids from Summer's preschool there.  Their older siblings were at baseball practice.  It was fun to watch Summer play with her friends.  They played chase, tag, and wolves.

The big kids kinda bossed the littles around...Lol/
Well..mostly that girl in the green shirt bossed them around...Lol.

Me

Summer is having fun playing apps in bed.  I was so tired..3 days of only about 5 hours of sleep a night.  So we layed in bed together and played apps on our phone.
Still growing my hair out and on a horribly low calorie diet to try and lose all the weight I gained.  I was up to 145 pounds by the time Christmas had passed.  I am down to the same weight I was when I got married, 134 pounds.  I would still like to lose 10-12 more pounds.  My progress is super slow though.  I am only having about an 800 calorie a day diet and even with that little bit of food and 30 minutes of treadmill 3-5 days a week I am only losing an average of 1.4 pounds a week.  Quite depressing really.  Meanwhile, my brother has lost 20 pounds and all he had to do was stop drinking soda and eating snacks.  He still gets to eat 3 meals a day!

Choir Performance

Alyssa had a choir performance for her school.  They had an Aladdin play and used a live band and choir.  The band was advanced students from 7/8 grade.  The choir was 6,7, and 8th graders that chose not to try out for the play.  Alyssa was so shy she didn't even want to sing in the choir.  They were actually quite hidden.  They were placed to the left of the stage and really only the parent of a child would have looked over and watched them as all the attention was on the play.

Today's outdoor play theme was magic wands.  They had magical powers such as water, fire, rain, and ice.  Look how close Alyssa and Kayla are in height? They both wear size 3 shoes now too!

Summer received a wonderful surprise this morning.  Our friends The Roediger's stopped by before school and gave Summer a unicorn toy.  It even makes horse sounds!  Summer had fun playing with it.
She also had fun playing dress up.  She decided to be a bear cat in  this picture.

The Legend of How The Otter Got a White Head

Kayla had to write and present a legend to her class.  She chose to make up a story about how the otter got a white head.  I thought she did a very nice job!

Winter Sun Tanning

This was Summer's idea of winter sun tanning.  She was cracking me up!  She even told me to get the camera and take some pictures.
