Happy New Year

We had so much fun last year doing the balloon activities we did it again this year.  Alyssa and Kayla each picked 3 activities to put in the balloons and Summer picked one.

Alyssa came up with the idea to try and make a rainbow loom chain blindfolded.  They both decided after awhile it was too hard.
Summer thought it was fun to put a blindfold on.
Lol..Daddy playing pin the tail on the otter.
I tried to take some selfies with the girls.

I liked how Summer looked in this picture.
Summer was having fun sticking her tongue out.

All the bags I made for Christmas gifts

Here are all the different bags I ended up making for 12 people this year.  Now I need to make myself some so I am ready for the change this July.  I need enough to keep in both cars since Ed and I trade off driving both cars.
We picked dog lovers for this bag.
Alyssa picked out this fabric, I love how picked polka dots for the inside.
We picked Hawaii lovers for this bag.
I only had enough fabric for just one bag.

I only had enough of this fabric to make one bag as well and it was the first bag I made.

Christmas 2014

The girls woke just after 7.  Summer was most excited this year and had everybody get up.
Here they are patiently waiting to open their stockings.
Shasta was very happy with her gift.
Kayla got a nerf bow and arrow set and shared it with Summer.
All 3 girls got stilts.  Alyssa caught on right away.  Kayla was a bit tired and less patient so she will try again tomorrow.
Summer got the hang of her toddler size stilts.

Xmas jammies 2014

Christmas jammies

Last January I found these Christmas jammies on clearance..wasn't able to find all 3 matching..that is what happens when you are frugal and only pay $5 a pair.  They all loved them though!!!
Do you think Grandma's dog wants a pair too?

They were trying to watch Frozen together in bed and this was them singing one of the songs.

Christmas cookies

This year I put off making the Christmas cookies until Christmas Eve.  I thought it might provide some entertainment for Grandma who is staying with us through Christmas.

Yeah, the girls showed her it is best to make your own.  We caught Alyssa biting half of her chocolate chips off and using them as eyes on her reindeer.  Kayla was licking frosting all over her hands as she was making them.

Summer table

Summer isn't old enough for a desk..at least she doesn't really have a need yet, but I did bring this table into her room from Kayla's room.  Everyone got something new in their room!!

Kayla art

Kayla's art creation from school.  I like to try and take pictures so they can look through my blog when the grow up and see some of the art work they created.  She did this one at school.

Kayla's new desk

Lucky find, someone down the street from me was selling this desk for $30.  Kayla is happy and Mommy is one step closer to a cleaner kitchen table.  Secretly I just want my table back so I can use it to cut patterns for sewing.  I don't like having to nag them to clean it up just so I can use it!

See how much space that rubber band hobby takes up?  Not to mention the mess of random tiny little rubber bands on the floors!

Reclaiming my kitchen table

So tired of the daily mess the girls make on my kitchen table.  I am even more tired of nagging them constantly to clean it up.  The girls are obsessed with Rainbow looms and making rubber band creations.  Not only does it take up space but it can make a bit of a mess.  Luckily I remembered we had a skinny card table in the garage so I went and brought it in Alyssa's room.  Love that the solution is free!!!   I still need to set up a table for Kayla in her room but she needs to clean it first to make space.  I am hoping to find something used for her bedroom that I can buy for $25 or less.

Shopping

This is how mountain folk go Christmas shopping...Lol.  Thank you amazon prime..well worth saving me 30-60 minute drive plus all the time in crowded stores.

However, see that big box on the left?  Inside a small container of bear spray was packed..probably only 12 inches or less tall and 5 inches wide.  I am a little confused why they had to ship it in such a big box???

Gingerbread houses

The girls were super excited to make gingerbread houses this year.  I love how Alyssa and Kayla are making patterns on theirs.  Summer tried to fit the most candy possible on hers.
