More snow and more loss of power!

We have continued to get more snow! The kids and the dogs are loving it! Of course I realized I still didn't buy Aly a pair of snow pants for this year so that will be on my list!

So happy to have the decks for the girls to play on. They love making snow Angels.

Daddy took us for a walk! The dogs had a great time! Sam was tripping seeing all the snow!

Snow walk

First Snow of Fall 2010

Friday night around 8 p.m. it began snowing. Funny thing is it wasn't supposed to start snowing until Sunday! We got around 6 inches of snow. At 6:30 in the morning we lost power and didn't get it back until almost 3.
We haven't started any fires yet this year and Ed hasn't split any wood so the house got very cold with no heat. Our propane heater needs electricity to run so it didn't work. I didn't want the baby to get cold so I took all three girls out. We went to the gym first where I got to take a nice, hot shower! Thank goodness for the gym!!! The girls had fun too because they got to go to childcare and do art projects. We spent the rest of the day running errands very slowly. We did a lot of window shopping!

The girls love playing in the snow. We got more last night too so I will take some more pictures today! Hopefully I will take a video too and will have time to post something!

Halloween

The girls had a day full of Halloween parties and events. They had a class party and then at night they got to go to their school for a Harvest Festival. During the day they dressed up as Minnie Mouse and Tinkerbell. At night since it is so cold they dressed up as dalmatians. I dressed the baby up as a pink leopard although she was too big for the costume! At night I put her in an outfit I had that made her look like a dalmatian.

They were so happy to pose for the camera!

KK was in love with her light up Tinkerbell wings!

Aly just had to have her nose painted black!

Sam had no idea she was dressed up! She sure loved looking at all the other kids dressed up though!

I will try and make another post later of the class parties and the Harvest Festival!

Front Tooth

Aly lost her front tooth on my birthday, which happened to also be the day of her class Halloween party. She talks so cute now, I can't wait to take a video and share it! Here are a few cute pictures of her new look!

Family Pictures

Saturday we had our pictures taken at the Picture People. We tried for a family shot as well as shots of the girls. Which one is your favorite?

Dress

Yesterday I bought the girls Christmas dresses. Our family loves dalmatians and Gymboree had the cutest dresses that really made me feel like our family's style. I had to try Sam's on because they didn't have a 3-6 month dress on the sales floor. The girl was alone and couldn't get one till later that day. I had to buy a 6-12 month dress and it looked so big! I tried it on and took a few pictures! When I saw the pictures I wondered if the dress is too bright---you know, stands out too much? I think I will try it on Aly and take pictures and see if I think the same thing. Let me know what you think?

Here are the pics...

Here is what Aly looks like.

KK Draws a giraffe

KK drew a giraffe. It is in the rain and thunder. So cute, she is good at drawing just like Aly!

KK writes a letter

KK wrote this letter all by herself. I can't believe how well she spelled many of these words. Let me translate it for you. It says:
Scientific Fairy Research
When a baby walks for the first time a fairy is born.

Isn't that awesome for a kindergartner! Way to go KK! My girls are very smart!

Baby Picture

Look, it is a picture of Sam. Oh wait, no, that is Ed...hmmm, they sure look a lot alike! LOL, that is a picture of Ed when he was 3 months old. Sam has more hair though!

School Pictures

Here are the girls school pictures. If you notice, Aly's picture is a high quality photo. The reason KK's isn't, is because she forgot to turn her picture money in so this is just a copy of their free mini photo. We will have to do picture retakes for her in November! Check out Aly's new teeth!

Fairy Houses

The girls love the new Tinkerbell movie. KK loves it so much that she is watching it almost everyday! The movie is totally cute and I love the storyline. In the movie, a little girl makes a fairy house and captures Tinkerbell. She then makes a field journal recording everything Tinkerbell teaches her about fairies.

The girls decided to make fairy houses of their own. They are hoping to catch a fairy! One day this week they were lucky enough to discover a fairy had visited! Maybe they will get lucky and she will visit again. KK brought her fairy house for sharing at school this week. Iris said she saw a fairy in the box! KK can't want to catch one!

Here is a picture of their fairy houses. I believe the one on the left is KK's and the one on the right is Aly's.

Here is the sand mound they are on. KK planted plants all around their fairy houses.

Here you can see the outside of their fairy houses. They layed buttons down to try and lead the fairies to their house.

Apple Hill

We took the girls to Apple Hill to try and get some photos for our annual calendar.

We tried to get a few pics of Sam. She wasn't too thrilled though...

KK wanted to see how tall she was, although the scale was a few inches off! LOL

KK and Aly got to ride a horse. KK was so thrilled, I think they haven't been able to ride a horse for at least a year or two!

Looking forward to making our yearly calendar this year with all of our wonderful pictures! Now we plan trips just to take certain pictures! Of course we have lots of fun in the process!

3 month old pictures!

Today Sam is 3 months old! I celebrated and took her to the Picture People and got her first professional pictures done. Of course it was pretty hard. Sam was in a bad mood and cried 85% of the time! The best picture was one of the first ones taken which I knew it would be! The lady said I could have up to 5 outfit changes and I said, "No way, I will be lucky if we could get through one!" My guess is that works much better with the older kids!

I purchased these two photos. I also purchased a collage of three shots of her. I think I will hang the second picture up with Aly and KK's baby pictures on the wall. KK had a sleeping picture of her wrapped up in a blanket. Aly was sleeping too. Aly was a newborn and KK was two months old so I figured the second one would look good grouped with those. Then I will also hang the collage picture of her. I think the first picture will end up on our yearly calendar!

I plan on taking pictures of all three girls in Nov. for Christmas. I went ahead and became a portrait club member since I knew over the next year I would be taking pictures frequently. I am looking forward to hubby hanging some photos of the girls! It will be nice to finally get something on our walls!

Here is a link if you want to see all of the pictures taken of her:

KK getting ready for roller coaster

Here are a few quick pictures from Disneyland a few weeks ago. Sam spent most of her time being held or in the stroller. She did go on a few rides.

Oddly enough it was cold one of the days. I think she looked cute all bundled up!

KK was so excited to be tall enough for the car roller coaster ride! She had been waiting two years for this ride!

Aly was happy to be 7 years old and be able to ride any ride alone! She was thrilled to try teacups as her first alone ride!
