Disneyland with a big clan!

We had a great week long trip to Disneyland and were so lucky to meet so many family and friends there!  We met my BFF Amy from Montana  with her family, we had my step mom Sharon and my Grandma with us for a few days, we met our friends Shawn and Meghann and their children, and in a wonderful surprise I met my college roommate Deirdre!  Everyone had such a great time!  The kids loved being with their friends and family!  Alyssa tried splash mountain and I have to say, I have never seen anyone get that wet before!!!  She was soaked from the chest down.  Luckily we had a spare change of clothes but she has decided she doesn't want to go on that ride again!

All the baby needs is a few balloons and she is happy for a long time!

We were so happy to be able to get this picture with Sharon and Grandma.

Summer didn't end up liking the Merry Go Round once it started going.  We were shocked!
My 89 year old Grandma's favorite ride was Toy Story!  Amazing place Disneyland is!  They can make any age very happy!

 I like this family picture!
Alyssa loved the Phineas and Ferb show, I will post some videos later!

Our first snow of the season

We had our first snow Thursday night which was just a dusting.  Then on Saturday night we got another inch or so.  Summer was super excited!  She was in awe over the snow!  She loved it!  The girls were excited too!  Alyssa and Kayla both love making snowmen!

Alyssa's last soccer game

Alyssa had her last soccer game of the season on Saturday.  She also got to play goalie.  It was her first time ever playing goalie!  She said she liked it!  I don't have any videos because the only ones I have she was scored on, I doubt she would want those posted.  Their goal is big for U10!  I was surprised!

Great Defenders!!!

Kayla's last soccer game

Kayla had her last soccer game of the season on Saturday.  It was so cold!  A mere 35 degrees!  The girls on both teams were crying their fingers hurt so bad!  We all felt sorry for them.

Kayla got to play goalie 3 out of 4 quarters and forward for one quarter.  She did a great job!  She was so close to scoring a goal two different times.  I will be posting both videos.  It is amazing to see how at the beginning of the season she couldn't even kick a ball while running and now she does it great!  We sure hope she wants to play next year.  I think she will do great!

Trick or Treating on Halloween

On Halloween we were so excited to take the kids trick or treating in a local neighborhood.  They had so much fun!  The best part was they saw so many of their friends.  It is a popular place for all the locals to go.  We will do this for sure next year!  We are so happy we moved here!

Alyssa decided to dress up as Mountain Minnie!  It was cold so she wore her Minnie Mouse snow hat!  Kayla was a parrot again.  I told you she was in love with parrots!  We didn't dress the baby up.  We just put her in double layers and I carried her in the backpack.  She is still too young to go trick or treating.  We tried it at the Harvest Festival and she didn't care at all.

Alyssa's leaf collection

Alyssa went around the yard and collected leaves.  Yes, Daddy has enough plants to collect this many different leaves!  She had a great time!  Kayla collected a few too and taped them on her wall.  She didn't want her picture taken.

Harvest Festival

We went to the Harvest Festival at the girls' old school this year.  They were so happy to be able to see some of their old friends!  Alyssa decided to invite one of her soccer friends too!  Her name is Natalie.  They had a great time together.  I think their favorite thing was the silly string maze.  I will be posting a video of that!  We also did Trick or Treat Ally, bobbing for donuts, carnival games, the cake walk, and Kayla even did the Haunted House!  She didn't like it though!

Kayla was a parrot for Halloween.  She fell in love with parrots from the movie Rio.  She begs us everyday to buy a parrot but that is not going to happen.  Well Daddy says it will but Mommy says NO!  First of all a parrot and a cage can cost around $800-$1000!  We don't have that kind of money!  Then there is the whole mess and noise that comes with it all.  We all know Mommy would end up being the only one cleaning the cage!  I don't want to do it!

Alyssa was a black cat for Halloween.  At first we painted her nose and put whiskers on but she found it too itchy so we took it off.

Here they are bobbing for donuts!  That was really hard!  Natalie almost won!
