Day 2 of Science Field Trip

Today was up at 5:45 a.m.!  We had to make it to Duxbury Reef at low tide which was shortly after 7 a.m.
Here is the class exploring tide pools

Brr..it was cold out there.  Those kiddos who brought rubber boots for this part of the trip had the easiest time navigated the tide pools.

I took a picture from above looking down at all the kiddos below.

Of course some of the kids had fun picking up a dead fish carcass.
Next we were on to the earthquake trail walk.

See how far apart the fence is after the earthquake happened?

After the earthquake walk we moved on to Point Reyes to see the lighthouse.
Alyssa didn't really like this part of the field trip.  She didn't like the high cliffs.

There is the light house.  The stairs are closed during the middle of the week.  You have to go Friday through Monday if you want to walk down the stairs.
Afterwards we all went to the beach.  This is where the kiddos played and I took a rest.  I did not sleep well in a tent.  I heard every single sound including the kids giggling, trips to the bathroom, the raccoons, etc.

Once we got back to the campground the girls made their dinner.  MAc N Cheese..once again keeping it simple.  The adults were able to go have dinner together at a restaurant.
