I had a little bit of time to make a bag today. I found this fabric in a thrift store..enough to make two bags so it ended up costing $3 a bag for the fabric. Usually I like to buy sheets since it is usually $3-$4 for one full or queen size sheet and I can make more bags out of that but I was in love with this fabric so I had to splurge. Of course even this is a good deal compared to buying fabric new at walmart or Joanne's. Their fabric runs a minimum of $5.99 a yard and a yard makes one large bag or two small bags. I prefer the larger bags myself.
