Christmas Night

 Summer learned how to build the small lego kits all by herself.  Let me tell you she wanted to do it all by herself!!!  She refused help!  She did a great job following the directions.  In the end we only had to assist on a few small parts that were too small for her to piece together.

For Christmas dinner we had a family favorite, crab!  I think Kayla had a pound alone to herself.

 After dinner it was time for the treasure hunt!

Christmas Morning

 The calm before the storm.  I think it only lasted twenty minutes before everyone woke up.  They are waking up earlier every year!

 Before opening presents I asked Summer and Kayla to take a quick picture on the porch to show what a beautiful white Christmas we were so fortunate to have.  Alyssa was busy playing a card game with Daddy.

 Time to open Santa gifts.  This year we went youngest to oldest for opening order.

Christmas Eve Jammies and singing

 I tried really hard to get a good picture of the girls in their Christmas Jammies.  Summer wasn't in a picture taking mood.  This year they got slippers too!

After the girls opened up their Jammies we sang some Christmas songs by candlelight.  We weren't able to take Grandma to a Christmas Eve candle light service because of all the snow we got so we tried to do it at home.

Grandma comes for Christmas

 Today we went and picked up Grandma for Christmas and brought her home.  After the long drive Grandma wanted to take a walk around our property.  Ed found a walking stick for her. 

 After her walk the girls decided to play a game of Sorry with her.  Summer actually spent the next few days playing Sorry with Grandma.  Grandma tried really hard to teach Summer not to cheat while playing the game but Summer won every time anyway...Lol

 We decided to drive around and look at the Christmas lights a day early since we are due for a huge snowstorm on Christmas Eve.

The girls drank hot cocoa and Summer ended up falling asleep during the drive.
