Family Taekwondoe
Our first night of Taekwondoe. Since we are all beginners and they have belt testing at the end of the month, they put us all together in the same class, minus Summer who has to do kinderkicks.
We are all really enjoying it!
We tried to take pics ourselves at home..

Kinderkicks
Ed had been wanting for us to join Taekwondoe for the past two years. We were paying for preschool so we couldn't afford the added cost. Now that Summer is no longer in preschool we could afford to sign the family up. Summer is in the Kinderkicks program designed just for 4-6 year olds. She had so much fun!!! In fact she has been wanting to go every single day!

Firewood
Hubby had so much leftover firewood from last year he didn't even have to split any. This is just what we have on the porch. We have a large pile stacked the entire length of the garage, and another pile on a pallet in front of the garage. I think we are set for the winter. Nice for hubby all he had to do was bring it to the house and stack it. We still have a huge pile down the property as well.
Summer Halloween Choice
Summer chose this cute kitty cat costume from the local thrift store. This is what she wanted to be for Halloween.

Picture Day
Picture Day at school. Kayla had the first day. She chose her complete outfit, how she wanted her hair, and her jewelry which happened to be mine..Lol.
She has always loved the Katniss braid.
Alyssa's picture day was the next day. In typical tween fashion she told me the day before her school pictures that she had nothing to wear. So I ran out and shopped for 3 hours and brought this shirt home as she had instructed me she wanted the casual look and wanted it to be purple and blue. I was surprised she liked something I picked out!
She looks so grown up!!
On Summer's picture day I totally forget to snap a picture of her before she went to school. You see, the day before she had such a huge fit over me helping pick out her clothes it was so hard to get her to school on time. So on picture day, I was so focused just getting her ready, and thrilled we didn't have the power struggle that we experienced the day before, that I totally forgot to snap a picture. I will post it once we get it back!

Praying Mantis
The sad reality of Praying Mantis is they do in fact kill Monarch Butterflies. It broke my heart to look out my window and see this. When I took the picture I didn't even notice their was another female next to her eating a bee.
We walked over to our waterfall and found this female laying her egg sack. This was the first time we have ever witnessed this event with our own eyes!
We walked around the house and found some other egg sacks already layed. This was under the eves of our roof.

S.F. Zoo
After freezing at the beach we headed to the San Francisco Zoo hoping it would be a bit warmer. Um, no, it was still freezing!!! I was able to find a sweatshirt for Summer. The only sweatshirts I could find for the girls and I were Giants themed and we are not baseball fans and there was no way I was going to spend $40 a piece for sweatshirts we would never wear again! We braved the cold. It did warm up enough after the first hour being there that we could tolerate it.
