Summer loves to feed the goats at the farm

We met up with some friends at the old Pluebells today.  Summer loved wandering around the pumpkin patch and picking up little pumpkins. 


She wasn't interested in the hay maze at all.  Maybe because this one has such narrow isles.

The goats were her favorite though.  She loved feeding them!

Horse Birthday Party

 Alyssa was invited to a birthday party at a Horse Stable.  She had a great time riding the horses.  She really liked the golf cart ride too!

Apple Ridge Farm

 We try and visit this farm every fall.  The girls love climbing on the trackers.  Summer's favorite thing to do was to feed the goats!  This farm used to be called Pluebell's but was sold.  I really like the changes the new owners have made!

Daddy takes Aly and KK Whale Watching

 Ed took the girls Whale Watching on Saturday in Santa Cruz.  They had a good time seeing all sorts of wildlife.

 They were able to see between 8-12 whales.  Mostly just their backs and tails.

 The pelicans were flying very close to the boat.

 Aly and KK's favorite part was seeing all of the Sea Otter's in the water.

Kayla got a little sea sick but had a good time anyway!

Alyssa's 9th birthday!

 Alyssa had her birthday party and had four of her friends over.  They had a great time playing in the water.  This picture made me realize they are much too big for such a small pool!  Too bad I didn't have a truck so I could buy a bigger one!

 This picture cracks me up!  The kids were having a water fight and at times would even squirt the baby.  At first I protested but they told me that Summer didn't mind.  After watching that they were right I let them. 

 Alyssa loved her cake!!!  Not the eating it part though, she didn't eat any of it because she didn't like the frosting.  I guess I will have to go back to making her cookie cakes since she doesn't like cake.  She only likes chocolate frosting.  What a picky girl!

 Time to open some presents!  She loved everything she got!  A lego set, art sets, and a Build A Bear Gift card!

 She can't wait to spend it!  Good thing we will be near the mall next Friday when we pick up Grandma from the airport!

Summer spent over a half hour hanging out in between these two moms!  I loved it! I wonder if they want to babysit sometime...LOL?

Waterfalls of Kauai

 We were able to drive and see a couple of waterfalls on Kauai.  I am sure the best ones to see are from the helicopter tours.  If you are a serious hiker I bet you could see some great ones as well! 

Chickens of Kauai

 Chickens are everywhere in Kauai.  The girls couldn't believe they would see them at Costco, at the hotdog stand, at the mall, the beach, any place we went!  I think they were hoping to catch one!

 Mommy didn't want the children to chase the chickens but when Mommy's away the children will play.  Daddy has different rules so they were happy to be under his guidance!

Summer was content just looking at the chickens in her stroller.  We fed them a few crackers so she could watch them closely.

Harbor Seal sighting!

We were so happy to be able to see a harbor seal taking a nap on the beach!  We looked everyday hoping to see one!  The girls loved being able to get that close to seeing the seal too!
